Following on from their acclaimed Devil's Rain EP Oakland based songwriter Maria BC released their stunning debut album Hyaline, a beautiful record that descends on you like a fog. For fans of artists like Grouper and The Microphones, Maria BC makes sparsely arranged and deeply atmospheric music, intricate guitars and wavering synth swells hover gently in the peripherals as their delicate voice rises and falls in aching arcs, it is spacious and understated yet rich in microscopic textures and details. As well as releasing Hyaline and the accompanying Hyaline Remixes EP featuring contributions from TMR favourites No Home and Ragana they also collaborated with guitarist and producer Rachika Nayar on her ambient dance epic Heaven Comes Crashing.
